About Us

Lumière Restaurant is a modern fine dining restaurant set on the rooftop of Palazzo Bifora, the boutique hotel in the heart of Mdina and hidden away in the alleyways of the historical Silent City. This elegant restaurant overlooks the rooftops of the neighbouring palazzos and narrow streets of Mdina, the first capital city of Malta. Mdina needs no introduction, it is one of the most beautiful cities in Malta with history surrounding it at every corner. Palazzo Bifora, this design led luxurious boutique hotel is found in Aragona alley. Located here since the 12th century, it underwent a full-scale renovation and redesign which commenced in 2012.

Shawn Navarro, the Executive Chef & the Food and Beverage Operations Manager of Lumière Restaurant joined in 2022 and since then the restaurant has evolved considerably, both in food and in experience. Our menu includes a sharing concept and guests can visit the bar for a more abbreviated version of the menu, light snacks or simply for a cocktail or a glass of wine.
